Top athletes from the 2017 Muaythai Canada National Championship rose up from the dust of battle and have earned their place on the National Team. From May 10th to May 20th, they will represent Canada at the 2018 IFMA Muaythai World Championships in Cancun, Mexico. This tournament is the highest level of international amateur Muaythai competition, with over 100 National Federations participating from all five continents, and nearly 20 of those countries coming from Pan America. Truly, a historic event in the making.

In 2017 the National Team consisted of 9 athletes and 7 coaches representing Canada in Minsk, Belarus. This year, the team has grown with 15 athletes in total – 6 females and 9 males – from across Canada. Supporting the athletes are 9 amazing coaches that offer their unique skills (many being the full time trainers of the team’s athletes). These athletes and coaches all display dedication and passion to the sport, and will proudly represent Canada in beautiful Cancun, Mexico.
